I am running

Solitary

Strong

Proud.

Getting high on too much oxygen

I start seeing friends,

Chanler the Chancler

Pulling over in a car with a Hello!

We chat, he moves on

I run.

Still getting high on oxygen

Coming up a hill

The wrong way?

Pausing suddenly

“Wow, don’t know what’s down there, cant go that way”

It was just a misstep to a gradient change.
